Yachting

Iisalmi and its regions are in the northernmost reaches of the Saimaa Lake complex. Iisalmi Marina by Lake Porovesi can be accessed by large boats from direction of Kuopio. The route narrows down towards Kiuruvesi and the east until it ends by the Koukunjoki River. A beautiful boating route takes you northwards towards Vieremä (draught 1 metre) across lake and river landscapes and to a marina in Vieremä. In Iisalmi, Restaurant Olutmestari provides marina facilities: visitor moorings, fishing permits and the sale of petrol and diesel.
